Who are we
Chirona was formally established in 2026 and is headquartered in Shanghai. Our core members have backgrounds at some of the world’s leading cancer treatment institutions. Most hold PhDs, and every member holds at least a master’s degree.
We have extensive networks and resources in clinical research and biomedicine, and maintain long-standing collaborations with multiple hospitals and leading experts in the field.
We are young and full of energy. We believe medicine has no borders, and that every life deserves to be taken seriously.
How we see cancer
Over the past decade, most members of Chirona have drawn on the expertise they developed during their studies to help grandparents and older relatives and friends facing cancer. Through extensive reading of the scientific literature, they sought out targeted medicines and other treatment options that were not yet widely known, helping their loved ones live longer. More than half remain stable today, able to enjoy the warmth and happiness of family life.
This is why Chirona was founded: to pass on hope.
Since 2020, rapid advances in biotechnology have led more countries and communities to recognize that cancer should be approached within a framework of chronic disease management. A stronger defense against cancer is taking shape, built on early screening and diagnosis, risk-adapted intervention, and care throughout the entire patient journey. This quiet revolution in health is poised to transform the lives of millions of patients.
With the arrival of the AI era, we can devote more time and attention to patient services. Cancer care can become more than injections and medicines: a warm, attentive relationship, and a forward-looking partnership in long-term health management.
Chirona will always hold to one principle:
Evidence to guide patient choices. Responsibility throughout cross-border care.
